{AUTUMN SKIES }
The Autumn skies are full of color in November. And they can change on a dime here. The morning began with the sunlight peeking through the back woods. Isn’t that one of the coolest shaped trees ever? I so wanted to put a small swing in there but the husband said it wasn’t strong enough to support anything. I’m holding out hope for flower baskets or something like that. By noon came the rain. Not for very long but what we call a soaker. At least it wasn’t snow. And the sunset. The colors filtered into the living room windows and gave everything that soft glow. If it wasn’t below…

{ MY TOP BOOKS FOR SPRING }
Even though there are pages to my to-be-read list I still look forward to each month’s new releases. When these books hit the shelves in the next coming months I will be dropping whatever I am reading to pick them up. Lover At Last: A Novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood – Lover At Last is the number one book I am looking forward to this spring. I love all the BDB but I can’t wait to read Blay and Qhuinn’s story. I can feel the heartbreak from here. Headed for Trouble (Troubleshooters) – I always look forward to this series. I have a (not so) secret love for the alpha male…

{ project life update and printables – this week cards }
The end of the year brings about varying emotions in people. Some are excited about the coming year, some are a little melancholy as they reflect on the past or some are like my husband and fret over the fact that he has to remember to write “2013” on all his paperwork now. Seriously. I am one that is a little of both; I look back on the year but like looking forward to what’s ahead. A new year also means a new start to Project Life. Last year was my first time doing a project of that size and I am surprised at how much it changed how I…

{ NEW PROJECT LIFE HALLOWEEN PRINTABLE JOURNALING CARDS }
I’m still working on this weeks Project Life. Why haven’t I finished it? Mostly because we’ve been enjoying a little bit of the nicer weather outside, hauling wood, “winterizing” everything outside, and working on these. It’s October now so I can bust out the Halloween decorations and no one can tell me it’s too early. It’s never too early but I wait until October 1st anyway so game one now. Out come the witches, cobwebs and spiders. I’m also working on my new Halloween wreath and if all goes well you’ll see it soon. Meanwhile check out my new set of Halloween themed Project Life Journaling Cards and 4×6 Cards.…

{ THE BEST HALLOWEEN BOOKS FOR KIDS }
In case you haven’t noticed, I am a reader. I love books. I love books like Carrie loves shoes. No lie. One of my favorite things to do each season with the kids is to read our favorite holiday books. This time of year I start to sprinkle in books about fall as well as Halloween. Some are new and some are old favorites. One of the best feelings is reading to the Little Man the same book that I read to his big sister. Each kid has their favorites and here’s a list of some of our favs from the past few years. (clicking on the image…
